Many of the things I've read dealt with per-departure fees either for IFR flights, or for turbines/ GTOW 12,500#+.... But believe me, since the public sees any pilot as a "rich playboy" we're squarely in the cross hairs.

Well you see that is the problem they start with per-depart fees or a turbing GTOW floor then before you know it they will find a way to pass on the cost to everyone.
