If one bids a regular line (not reserve or secondary) and marks "drop trips to protect min days off", can vacation days + trips cause trips to be dropped to ensure 13 days off? I'm talking about trips being dropped that are not in conflict, they only reduce the days off to less than 13 days.
Or do vacation days not count when they calculate days off? Thanks,

Vacation Bank Administration
1. Regular Line Holder
A regular line holder shall be removed from a trip(s) in confl ict
with his vacation period (as awarded or slid) or vacation
expansion. Confl ict with an international duty free buffer, as
described in Section 12.D.1.d., shall constitute a confl ict with
the trip protected by that buffer and may not be waived. The
SCH value of the removed trip(s) shall be deducted from the
pilot’s vacation credit hour bank.
Intent: A vacation period slides as a whole.
Gunter I am not sure what you want to do.
As a Regular line holder:
IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT TO DO.
Do you want to use vacation bank in June or not?
As long as no trips or INTL duty free buffer touch or conflict with your vacation period your vacation bank will not be debited.
If your intend is not to use much or any Vacation Bank in June because you want to use a ton later in the year than bid/ slide to deconflict.
This way if you 7 days vacation (42 hours) in JUNE and you have 7 days in Sept if you don't debit any vacation in June you have 84 hours to use in SEP.
If you want max time off then obviously bid/expand to conflict as much as possible.
