I do own a car by the way... (well in 10,000 dollars I will anyway) Even if I did live downtown, I'd want to keep it incase I want to do a random trip down to Atlantic City to stay in a free comp room for the night and do some gambling, either that or go to one of the many Delaware / Maryland beaches at the drop of a hat. Some people I know get rental cars, but I wouldn't want to go thru that every time I wanted to leave the city... Also comes in handy for home depot/supermarket/liquor store trips... Hard to carry all of that stuff...
