Now, to address the OP question, I believe that in addition to having your licenses and ratings that having the ability to communicate with others, not only on a professional level, but on a personal level as well is a very good attribute to have. How well you fit the company/corporate culture is an important quality that is given serious consideration. Albeit may be somewhat subjective.
