Alpa can't do anything about it. There is no big pot of gold at the regionals to divide. The airlines are a catch 22. The reality is that there are way too many players. Therefore an airline has to cutthroat and slice the balance more than the next airline in order to stay afloat. Employee compensation is the very last worry, plus in a way they can thank the unions for mandated pay that hasn't changed for a thousand years at the regionals even tough we fly as advanced airplanes as the big airlines about 10 times more people than we used back in the day.
