If the MDA equates to 340' HAT and the pilot desires a 3 degree descent rate to the runway, then it would be: 340 divided by 300=1.13 miles from the end of the runway. Gus wears a hat. Gus means glide slope expressed in feet descended per mile and HAT goes on the top of the equation, so Gus can wear a hat.
