So it's going on over four years since I decided to leave ATP JAX just shy of completing my private and continuing with their course.

I left and have not flown since for multiple reasons but recently have been thinking about giving it another go and to make a career out of this time around.

I've always loved flying and feel at this time in my life it's something I want and need to get back into.

This is my scenario:
I live in Los Angeles, do not want to leave the state or area to pick up my training where I left off and am looking for good schools/FBO's to start back up.

I figure that if I do this I will do it full time and not go in it with one arm tied behind my back which was sort of what happened when I initially started at ATP.

I've done some research on local schools and found American Flyers at Santa Monica to offer a finish up program to help me finish my private. Obviously it's been a few years so I might just start from scratch but getting my private is the first goal and from there it's on to instrument, CFI's, etc.

I would really appreciate any good feedback or professional advice about their program, other ways to go, etc. I'm not against getting my private and maybe inst. and then going to ATP Long Beach or something along those lines. Just has to be the right situation.
