All gentle readers of APC know I have this friend. When I first met him, he never said he was a former fighter pilot or currently a captain at a major airline. I think that if he had rattled off his total flight time and discussed ad nauseum all his devilish exploits in the Hornet, I would have been quite turned off. Now, in all fairness, he eventually did send me a picture of himself next to his F-18, but we were already fast friends.
