I know international cargo volumes have fallen quite a bit, but you can't tell me that we can't find enough origin-destination freight from the Pac Rim to DFW, let alone enough freight to sort and ship through DFW?

UPS doesn't care about cargo or freight. We gave up half the Miami network because apparently we don't want that stuff. Not enough revenue compared to the next day letters. UPS doesn't care about market share regarding the other stuff.
But LAN sure does... so much so that they are now flying 777Fs. They are only the second S. American carrier to fly the 777, pax or cargo version - and its in direct competition with us for the flowers, fish, etc. All while our little 757 barely makes it off the ground in Guayaquil due to load restrictions.
Probably the same situation with Yangtze starting US service. Knowing the habbits of their competition, why wouldn't they? Good job UPS
