If you wrote a letter to Bill and he showed it to Bob who decided to post it in public, would that make you "selfish" for objecting? The guy did a service that is available on the site of HIS choosing and now is getting flamed for his efforts. Unbelievable.
Not to quible, but once the information was put out in the public domain, he no longer had any control over it. He's not a journalist or a copyrighted author, so his information, once posted, is fair game for anyone. Noone needs his 'permission' to copy and repost his posting. Your example, a letter sent via the mail to an individual, doesn't work because private mail has legal privacy protections. Would anyone have a legitimate complaint if someone cut and pasted their postings here and reposted elsewhere? No.

To whine about the 'where' in this situation in petty and yes, selfish. If the intent were to educate, that information was educating here. Why not remove it from here and sell it as 'flash cards' for $10 a pop? Oh wait, THAT would be selfish, but simply removing it from APC isn't...
