I think the pilot group would love them. The company not so much!
They have a certain minimum size they feel a category has to attain to make it cost effective from a standpoint of scheduling and reserves. The flight attendants have mini bases but only flight attendants who have had perfect attendance can bid them and they have to agree to find their own replacement if they are sick. I don't think the pilots are going to go for that.
