Here at DAL a lot of "Just technique" turns in to School house standards. We all need to realize what is a technique and what is not.
I have had a few LCA pilots try to tell me that a technique is a procedure. I then ask to see where in Vol 1, or the FOM it is published. Shall is passive and Will is mandatory.
For some reason they are really big in the legal definition of what "is" is but we all forget it.

Now, as for the Speed brakes, where does it say that you cannot disarm them that way. It is like a CA reaching up and turning them off. As far as I know it is one of the many ways to disarm them, and I cannot find where that technique is prohibited......
Now if you go and leave the A/T's on until touchdown in a 756 they might have a beef.
Here's the thing dude. I'm just a participant of the cooperate and graduate program. I do find however, that I am less tolerant of some of the dumb-a.. instructors that have been flying the airplane way less time than me but instructing way more than me; way less tolerant of the DSS guys that are trying to press a point. The good thing is that if I ever get back in the left seat, I'm soooooo tired of the bureaucracy, that I really don't give a s..t what you do as long as you fix what I do wrong.

Oh yea, if you f... up, I don't care who's buying the beer as long as we are drinking beer.
