Ok, I get it. But Sky you're not fundamentally a blue collar, hammer swinging type of guy. You may think you are... but you're not.
Years ago I was trapped in a truck drivers life and I decided I am too smart for this. Not too good, mind you, just too smart... and I reentered college at the age of 30 or so. It was actually the second degree program I had embarked upon, but this time I was in it for keeps. I knew what the stakes were and I wanted my piece of the pie and was willing to work for it. And I knew I had the brains to make it work if I wanted it to.
Long story short I got my piece of the pie as much as anyone of my graduating class. Alas the economy tanked like a lead balloon in a few years, it seems that even great airships can go down sometimes.... but I would do it again in a heartbeat and it would have been worth it even if I had to go back to truck driving now.
So, Sky you're a success if you want to be. It is just a matter of desire and self-perception. Look at this fool Jesse James, and all he has done. You should not consider yourself to be a blue collar worker if you do not want to be one. In your case I do not think it is true anyway.
