I'm not sure where the 700 number comes from but the BK is a very real possibliy, it was even in their reports. If UA opts out of the 26RJs and 10 Dash8s Mesa will be forced to file bankruptcy. The fact that he actually said UA
will opt out is puzzling however. They probably already know it and are trying to lessen the pilot group to save some cash right now, otherwise there is no reason to announce furloughs 6 months in advance.
