Our FA's do the turns you and Jet Blue have suggested. I fly with them and they are dead on their feet after going to the west coast and back. I can see it as dooable, but you will be tired on approach in JFK!
Been there, and done it. Plus it was the opinion of most of the pilots, NASA and report written by Dr Rosekind. You are DEFINTELY` more rested and alert on approach into JFK after a transcon turn (with restrictions listed) than many of the FAA legal limits and redeyes that we all do.
