Agreed....

With this new buzz going around as far as exploring a change in the "commuting rest policy", why would it be ok for pilots to be exposed Reduced Rest segments during their trips??

The way I see it, when allowing carriers to build scheduled reduced rest segment during a trip, it is more likely to introduce the possibility in setting up a pilot to fly 'tired' during his/her's trip.

If the FEDs really pursue changing the "commuting policy" policy for pilots, and still allow carriers to schedule Reduced Rest Segments, I guess they are saying it's OK to be fatigued during your trip, but you can't commute on the transcon to work, b/c you may be fatigued on the front side.

Fatigue is Fatigue....

Not to put the cart in front of the horse, the FEDs still have time to explore both sides of the issue before another change is imposed. Hope for the best....expecting the worse.
