About 3 years ago. The CA died of a heart-attack. He was on an OE trip, so the right seater was actually a check airman. He switched seats and had one of the PAX, a private pilot, come up and sit in the right seat and help out with radios, etc.

Didn't this happen once to CAL before?? I seem to remember something about it, I think a domestic 757 where the FO had either a FA or private pilot pax assist w/ PNF duties.
