As a former ramper, this is one fee I agree with. Those 100+ bags do a number on the bodies of the rampers, even if they share lift and follow all the procedures. The injury rates are high and so are the lawyer's fees for dealing with those always assumed "faking it" rampers after lifting the bags. Leave the kitchen sink, the dresser, the complete shoe collection, and your rock collection in lead packaging at home! You don't need it for a 2 day trip to Los Angeles!

Airlines should triple the excess bag weight fee.
