This might not be such a bad thing for the Frontier pilots, or the Republic pilots, given Republic's scope. Frontier is a troubled carrier and can use Republic's resources. I assume Teamsters will be the surviving representational agent.

If Frontier had the cash and bought Republic we would hardly shrug. Given ALPA's predisposition to keep pilots separate within the same brand, that would actually be a WORSE outcome for the pilots on both sides.

We might be jumping the gun by assuming this is a repeat of MidWest. I don't think we can conclude that yet.

Also, the Bankruptcy Court has to approve this deal and that's not nearly the rubber stamp it once was.
