There is no way these companies negotiated contracts in good faith... any of them.
Its the responsibility of any company's management to control costs as tightly as possible, to increase profits. That's their job; the term is fiduciary responsibility. In the airline world, that means keeping labor costs as low as possible by negotiating hard as possible.
On the other hand, its the job of the pilots who make up the membership of their union to negotiate as hard as possible to put as much money in their pockets as they can.
You're worth what you negotiate, and not a penny more. Good luck...
