I've just joined this forum, been in Pprune for years. I have been through this particular thread from the begining so as not to miss anything (or try not to). Always was interested in the sand pit especially since my company was on the rocks. Etihad was my first choice seeing that they were more accepting to DEC's.
I always felt that taking a DEC at EK was almost like crossing a picket line, especially after reading the postings on Prune. But reality must overide all, I'm loosing my job at year end and I must earn a living and if EK is an option I feel I must take it. Being marketable, I would prefer a commuting job from the States, but I wont turn down a position with EK because I may offend somebody who's there now. Got many hours and am an A340 skipper now. Would live to PM Typhoon but can't as I'm new here.
