You bet they are, and we all know people who have taken shortcuts in life before will do anything to take them again.
At full loads a 737 is still an arm and a leg more efficient than the ejets. More than enough to cover any difference in crew costs. The reason companies like UAL are on the verge of BK isn't because of crew pay but more to do with horrible management, multiple fleet types, and a LOT of internal structure costs.
