Default pay rates

130j...

UPS is supposed to get the 380 (I'll believe it when I see it!) and the 747-400. The 800 has never been mentioned (as of yet). When you compare the number of nb pilots to superwidebody pilots at federal (which won't be online for few years now), I think ups has the better pay scale setup. Add in the fact that if you get 757s, it will be considered nb for pay purposes as well.

As far as trip rig goes, most of the ups trips, domestic and international are paid on the rig. The exceptions are the cat and dog lines and turns (which are 6hrs). I think the reason is how federal pilots are not paid during the sort, at least that is what I've been told. Can you confirm this?

I've got a bud who works on your bus schedules. He says our scheduling is not as good as federal's, but it improved a lot this time around. His major gripe on the ta is the signing bonus differential between fedex and ups. But like all negotiations, you have to give up something to get something. I'm not sure where the tradeoffs were at ups.

I think your ta will pass by at least 80-20. I haven't heard too many discouraging words or show stoppers. Yours is shorter deal, so you guys can lay the groundwork for the next round.

Keep it safe,

PS btw, your motors are upside down...lol
