In 1998 they they beat Brazil in 1-0 victory. Thanks in part to Casey Keller in goal. I believe he shut down Romario THREE times in that match, getting high praise from him in the process.
I remember that game, and I actually thought today was going to be a repeat of the same, but no luck. All the same, the US team did a great job, great game, although the Brazilians really dominated the last 30 minutes or so of the game.
