The software gives an instantaneous correction to the flight plans in the software. Once a pilot fills out the discrepancy report and it's COMATTED up to OAK and entered into the computer the changes are immediate, no more waiting for three weeks with bad flight plans in the system and having ATC mad because three flight plans pop up for the same flight number.
