I (along with others) was exploited by Ornstein, and a host of others, on the way up to my current job, because pilots at the majors allowed their contracts to be changed, in a way that allowed the transfer of flying from their company.

Had this not happened, a different, and better system would still exist. I could have applied directly to the Varsity, and saved myself the pain.

Now that I am at the majors, it's my job to try to get the horses back into the barn. I understand that. But I'm not at all confused about the pilots at the regionals "allowing" someone to take advantage of them. They're stuck in that position because we (collectively) lacked the gumption to fight for our (then ironclad) scope clauses. It's the lifestyle we've forced upon aspiring civilian pilots."
