Not sure what competitive is right now, but I can tell you that a friend of mine got interviewed (and hired) with just a little over 1180 TT about a month ago.

If you have one from List A or one each from List B and List C you are good to go! If you have an unexpired US passport that is all you need.
List A.Documents proving both identity and work authorization- U.S. passport (expired or unexpired);
- Certificate of U.S. Citizenship, BCIS Form N-560 or N-561;
- Certificate of Naturalization, BCIS Form N-550 or N-570;
- Unexpired foreign passport with:

- ID card issued by federal, state, or local government agency or entity with a photograph or identifying information in No. 1.
- School ID card with a photograph;
- Voter.s registration card;
- U.S. Military card or draft record;
- Military dependent.s ID card;
- U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card;
- Native American tribal document;
- Canadian driver's license;
- For persons under age 18:
a. school record or report card;
b. clinic, doctor, or hospital record;

List C.Documents Proving Work Authorization Only- U.S. Social Security card, if it does not say the card is not valid for employment;

- Native American tribal document;
- U.S. Citizen ID Card, Form I-197;

- Unexpired authorization document issued by BCIS (other than those in List A).

It says they are hiring on Climbto350 but then is says also go to their website and fill out the application...but on their website it says they are only hiring from their pool. What a waste of Climbto350.

Climbto350 is a waste of money. AMF is hiring and they have new-hire classes scheduled through September.
