I got my private at Pearson Air in KOLM for a total cost of $3350, the price for private at Midstate....$7000, and thats if you flying the minimum req. If it takes you more than 35 hrs, start adding...

I transfered to Cwu, with my private and did 4.5 years, got my instrument/Comm single, and a b/s in aviation. started my cfi, then quit and did it in kykm for 1/2 the price. Total I spent about $20k at midstate.

I refused to do my comm/multi@ midstate, because they were charging $325/hr for the now defunct pa-44, oh and they had a 20hr minimum for the course.

As agreed with everybody above, CWU itself is a great school. (sloan/hoover/wilson/garcia) are what make the program, classes are fun and you can learn a lot. Mountain flying class? by far the coolest...
But Midstate is a back-breaker on money, and moral. + on a plus note, I do miss the maintenance (Bald Ed), right now I fly planes that are about to fall apart.
My advice, if you want to go to CWU...Transfer with your pvt/inst...do two years at big bend/green river/pierce i think has a program, and finish the last two at CWU, make some good friends, and then enter the real world, to figure out you are #254 in the hiring pool, and you can instruct for years making $15/hr, and remember those student loans are going to have to get paid back... so actually my advice is don't enter aviation...
