Nothing to get mad at. I for the most part (unless someone makes an uncalled for derogatory statment towards one of my fellow pilots) enjoy having the PFT debate. I have stated many times that I have no problem debating other sides if the other argument is presented professionally. But I am always willing to state the Facts (as I know them) when asked, and you'll see that the few I was mistaken on and people brought up, I will gladly aknowledge. What I can say is yes the pay during the 250 was not great (ok it sucked..lol), but it is a small sacrifice for career progression. By working hard, I am permanent hire, now a furlough, with a good prospect of recall soon, at a company that flys some beautiful routes, from my home state under one of the better contracts for a 1900 driver in the industry. And yes I am happy with the 1900, I have no desire to get in a jet at this point in my career. Our contract is ok with me because we dont have hot reserves, stand up overnights , or any of that garbage to deal with, and the highest 1900 pay out there, so even though it is a regional subject to the same issues at other regionals, it is definatly not the worst job or company out there. Yes we have some days when we dont like our job, but for the most part I think a good portion of pilots are happy here.
