The manuals and CBT were confusing, the airplane seems to be anything but user friendly and to make things worse I had the simulator instructor from hell. Two weeks of trheats and punishment from 2100 to 0300 as a good torture simm session shoul be.
Man, how I miss my old 767, I can not express it in words.
So, I see that thereīs a lot of experienced MD drivers here and I think that some of the guys at UPS may have done the same transition from the 767/757 that Iīm doing right now. I would REALLY aprecciate any advice on how to make this move less painfull and specially if some of you know about any study guide or training material I could by on the net. Thereīs a lot of it on Boeings and Buses but almost nothing on the MD, and I definetly refuse to call it a Boeing, definetly.
I donīt fly for an US carrier and thereīs no other MD operator around here.
Thanks a lot for any word of wisdon from anyone of you.
The MD-11 FMS is complex and not near as user friendly as the REAL Boeing aircraft. That being said, the learning curve is fairly quick once you hit the line.

PS She is a good ship and you will like her. She performs well and has a lot of magic. It took me 6 months to get comfortable.
