You are correct.

As with everything. The end of 2010 is way off. It is two life times in an airline. They did the correct thing. This economy is in the dumps, but quick decisions get a lot of companies in trouble. The carrying costs are manageable.
There are things coming over the horizon that I am sure many people that state these number have no idea about. That is my take on this.

Also remember way aback at about 3000 posts on this thread Bucking and I commented that we had real fear in 2010. A lot happens at the end of next year. One, we are going to be totally merged and base realignments will be underway, two the no furlough clause is +2 years and then they would have to only deal with the 76 seat scope trigger.
At the end of next year our route structure would be mature to the point of reductions being able to take place with out a huge loss of efficiency.
Now if there are any signs of this economy turning, we will just be set up for furloughs, and not have to do it.
As it stands now, we have bodies in the wrong jets.
