UA seems to be standing pat on capacity from what has been announced in the press. Right now, it seems more right sizing is in the cards for CAL than UA.
Don't hold your breath but stranger things have happened. I still see UAL shrinking further with CAL probably cutting as well but not nearly as much.
When the dust settles you'll have a very reduced UAL merge with a slightly smaller CAL. The size of the carrier will probably be a little larger than UAL was in their glory days.
