Co-Owner actually... I'm about to buy a plane from a guy who bought it with a friend so they could get instrument rated in it and fly cheap. The other fella ended up getting killed in a motorcycle accident. The name of the deceased is still listed as a co-owner of the airplane. Is there anyone out there that has any idea of how this might complicate transfer of ownership? Also what can I do, or request that the owner do to make this transaction go a smoothly as possible to quickly make his plane my plane.
