Capn,
You are right, assuming all the PIRP pilots are part of the 270 pull and plug, they will not operate under our list. BUT the whole point of the pull and plug was to account for future attrition on the fNWA side. In my book, this PIRP is "future attrition." (Albiet a little earlier than was expected) This is exactly what the arbitrators were accounting for in their decision. Those 270 were pulled, all fNWA guys moved up (to a certain amount depending on their seniority), the lists were merged and then they were re-inerted. My question is....How does 270 pilots retiring (PIRP and regular retirements) after this was done negate this "advantage." To negate the advantage you would have to go back and redo the list without the pull and plug. To my way of thinking, 215 guys taking early retirement helps everybody (one of those win/win situations)!!
