So I'm on IOE, my 2nd to last leg, landed in ATL. We had about 1.5 Hrs to kill, and all went our separate ways, planning to meet at the plane in a little while. Scheduling calls me and says I'm displaced, I'm gonna go to TUL and deadhead back to CVG. I say no problem, more than happy to do it, and by the way, is my new captain a check captain because I'm still on IOE. The phone got really quiet all of a sudden, and then I heard "You're kidding." I said, "Nope." They ended up displacing the captain as well, but they had to find him first.... I had the TUL airplane ready to go by the time they finally contacted him and he got to the plane. I think at that point he was satisfied that I was ready to be signed off.
