I got called for a trip with a first leg offline deadhead. I questioned the scheduler to be sure that I actually had a ticket, and was assured that I did, and was given a ticket locator number. When I showed up at the airport, I found out that that the airline that I had a ticket on had been out of business for two weeks. I hung around at the gate where the airline used to operate until about ten minutes after the departure time, and then went down to operations and mentioned my problem to the cheif pilot. In retrospect, I should have gone home and waited for the crew desk to call, and then told them that I was waiting for my flight to board.
