After hearing some of the stories out there, including this thread, I guess I consider myself lucky, at this point in time, because we all know how quickly life can change at your airline.
I don't claim to be an expert, but I really think you'll have more fun there in the next 20 years than at any of the other companies on your list. With your timing, you'd be very junior at any of the others, and I think your group has about the best upward potential of any of the pax guys right now. If you have to be junior, doing so at a legacy at least provides the variety and abilty for your family to enjoy some of the (I know...shrinking) perks of the job. If you ain't moving up...its nice to sit in a seat you like a while. I'm hearing some concerns and angst from my SWA buddies....15 year upgrades, blah blah blah. Better be set to enjoy what you've got for a while. I think doing what you are doing beats flying the panel in the middle of the night or watching your domicile bounce between OAK, LAS, and BWI month to month.

In any case...we are all just hunkering down for a while. Hope your ride is both smooth and enjoyable.
