Part of the real problem here as I see it is BOTH sides are right, let me explain...
1. The midwest pilot group has been flying those routes for years, and when RAH bought them they bought those routes and contracts. These guys with decades serving these routes dont want to be replaced by less senior pilots...I get that
2. Republic pilots hired into a company that they thought was stable and had good potential for job security. RAH pilots chose right in this case and Midwest pilots chose wrong. THis is not the fault of a RAH pilot so why should he get furloughed over it. The fact that Midwest starting tanking and their Umbrella corp bought out Midwest is not their fault. Every Midwest guy that gets integrated means one RAH guy gets furloughed because of the integration.
3. I really believe that RAH pilots right now, wish they'd never heard of Midwest
The fact is neither side fighting for their side is wrong, because sadly there is no right answer. And when I mean fighting, I mean for your side, in the courts and legal system, I dont mean each other physically or verbally...get it. If there was another place to go and a differant economy, the integration, while still might be met with some squables would probably be easier to do.
But in the current climate, either way you do it, a lot of pilots are going to hit the streets, so the question becomes which ones, and I wouldnt want to have to make that choice, because both sides have valid arguments.....sad sad sad
and then when its over you still have F9 to deal with also......THis whole thing from a pilots perspective on the ooutside looking in.... SUCKS
