My boss told me that Skywest is having trouble filling their classes and have dropped their minimums below 1000 to get more applicants in and that they may be opening a base in Atlanta in the next year. Anyone heard anything to confirm/deny this?
I walked a friend’s resume in with 950TT/300ME/150 Turbine in the CRJ at ASA and they told me to bring it back when he has 1000TT. SKW holds firm to their mins. It's one of the reasons why I have yet to fly with a pilot I don't like. It keeps the low time pilots out with a serious problem with "Get-There-Itis." I’m not saying that those pilots are bad pilots.
My friend and two of his that I help, are now in ground school here.
