SWA gave ATA pilots pref. interviews, for furloughees, for 6 mos. When the "offer" ended, about 50 were interviewed and about 8 were hired. Many left ATA for SWA in the intervening years. Many more, myself included, tried to get on with SWA, but failed. CAL hired as many ex-ATA pilots as SWA, and according to AirlineApps, continues to list ATA as an "affiliation." I presume this is due to the fact that CAL is putting some ex-ATA 757-300s online. Yeah, I know. No one's hiring.
