I sure hope we get the 1500 hour requirement for 121. Of this 1500 they need to say you must have 1,000 PIC. Otherwise we will just get guys sitting SIC at 135 ops instead of 121 ops.
Imagine if they also said you must have one of the following:
*300 multi
*300 Turbine PIC (Such as Caravan)
*Type rating with 300 hours PIC/SIC on Type
It isn't a 1,500 hour requirement.... it is a requirement to hold an ATP license. They should be careful how they word this.... I would prefer the language say both the hours required and the license required... since it is just a stroke of the pen away by and ATA backed FAA administrator to lower ATP min's to essentially what we were hiring the past few years.
