Which is why the new shutdown check philosophy is dumb. The FO does all of the actions and then asks the CA to confirm that the FO did them. Somebody left the pitot heat on and now we all have to dumb it down.
Its all in the eye of the beholder...any given day all of us have been the "lowest common denominator."
