"and I had my choice of pretty much any place I wanted and I picked UPS. I wish I would've went to SWA though"

"Everything else about working at this place SUCKS!!!! Domiciles, airplanes, schedules, MANAGERS...."

I cannot believe this thread is going on this long, but with quotes like this from "UPSmistake", it really isn't a wonder. Clearly we are all being entertained by this. So many people seem to get so many job offers for so many jobs out there. When he left his former Legacy airline to come to UPS, he did it for a reason, "furlough????" At UPS, he wasn't forced into giving into the MOU. Nobody would have rolled him over out back for not participating. So, he has just made a bunch of mistakes and wants to blame everybody else. The economy is in the toilet, airlines are cutting back, the postal service will lose 10 billion this year. I really can't believe that the bottom 300 are still here. A company that is so dividend driven but doesn't lay off people. If he thinks that UPS sucks, any legacy carrier doesn't give a rat's a$$ about him. UPS likely had some semblance of reasoning and compassion. Who knows.

As for the thing about everything else at this place sucks. Our managers are decent. Just be friendly, happy. Finished. Our planes are maintained like no others in the world. The are twinkly clean, modern. I know people are going to dump on me, but look how many serious failures we have had???????? Not many, a few shutdowns, here a glitch, there a glitch. Our airplanes are safe. Sure SWA has a good fleet, too. But flying the same airplane for over 30 years is not my thing. I believe I would become too complacent.

Finally, virtually all of his problems with UPS are from info that hasn't changed over the years. Our domiciles have existed longer than he has been here, so have the managers, so have the schedules, the 72's were gone, and the 74's were on their way out. Sure the 8's caught us all by surprise. Problem is, he thinks he should be rewarded for coming here.

UPSmistake! We feel for you and all the faithful here at APC offer our condolences. Perhaps you may have been a mistake for someone too over the years?
