I couldn't agree more. Conflict bidding is, for my quality of life, worth way more than whatever ca$h they'll try to throw at the problem to make the deal. It seems, however, that many are willing to grab the quick buck without considering whatever they're giving up is really worth. Whatever we got in exchange for fewer commercial DHs is clearly not worth it to commuters, and after circus of the past 20 months, I'll bet there's a lot more commuters today than there were in 2006. Better to think long term, even if it's as a long term FO.
