But you go on and keep telling yourself that everything is fine and keep allowing this company and industry to walk all over you. Me on the other hand will walk away and work in another field because I am not going to let some company ship my butt up to Alaska just for some measly scraps of pay.
Wallowing around in other peoples' feces (like some on here say) is much more preferable to me than commuting up to Alaska at half pay for a company that makes a billion dollars every few months, and I guarantee that I won't regret one second of the work. I've worked in the building trades all my life and I've turned many wrenches too.
What sort of manual labor have you done tough guy?
Do you not take any responsibility for your misery? You over gave to the MOU. Why? Now instead of furlough you forced yourself into another job anyway. You'd have been better off giving little to nothing. Worse case you'd be in the same boat with more sympathy from the masses at least. I come to work, fly, go home. I deviated from my last dhd, got 2 extra days home(17 total) they modified me so now I have a longer layover in a sweet hotel, fly one leg, dhd, and get change of layover and late arrival pay. Also got my next trip dropped in the process since I rtb late. I'm bottom 200, life is good! Maybe you need a lesson in creative scheduling/bidding?
