heres the thing, if southwest was convinced that they could win in DEN, wouldnt they just let RAH "run F9 down the drain" like all of the wise pundits on this board suggest will happen, and just pick up the pieces when it was all said and done? The fact that southwest was willing to cough up such large piles of cash for frontier, solidifies the fact that frontier is a company to be reckoned with. Everybody can bash RAH all they want, but the Sean Menke, Bryan Bedford, Wayne Heller team, will be a force in this industry for years to come. Bedford allows people to do the job they are good at, I seriously doubt he's looking to micro manage frontier into the ground. as a matter of fact I would bet that Menke runs midwest as well by the time its all said and done.
And RAH is now a major, like it or not.

SWA wanted Frontier gone.....one way or another! Would have been nice to move your capital around in secondary markets and make a boat load of cash.
