Yes, I know, that jet doesn't have an engineer's panel, however, they did operate with a FE just sitting on the jumpseat for a while. He, or she, had no duties that you could see, so it must have been in their contract. JJ
Some of the older UAL guys may remember when their first 737s arrived, and were manned by 3 pilots. Featherbedding, perhaps, but a contract is a contract.
