I am not against bringing pilot group B onto pilot group A's list however it should not be done via DOH (as i have heard tossed round the crew room) since it would not be a merger or anything like it. Should Pilot group A get pilot group B's airplanes then they should go to the bottom of the list. I would think it would be in all pilot groups interest to let Pilot group B come onto group A's list at current longevity but at the bottom of seniority. Possibly with fences on the seats of the new aircraft that would not alow Pilot group A from displaceing Pilot group B from their seats with a stipulation that should a furlough occur the gates would be erroded in as many places as are needed for the furlough alowing the lower pilot group B to be furloughed and pilots from group A to take the seats of the furloughed group B. Once the number of furloughees were taken from the group then the fences would be replaced until a time where the life of the fence expired or a time when more furloughes are needed. Should the furloughed pilots from group B be recalled they would be placed where ever they have the ability to hold acording to system seniority and the fences would not apply to those recalled. Should spots come open on pilot group B's side of the fence prior to the end of the life of the fence, those seats would first be offered up into a system wide bid, then should all of the seats not be filled through this means then newhires could be placed into those seats.

I am sure there are more things that need to be thought through however the rumors that are floating are nowhere near as nice to the lower half of the group as what i have just described. I also don't think most people realize how senior some that may come in are. Should we agree to DOH then i think almost 75% of our list would be below them. We are a very small young company. I know what you are talking abut people thinking there is no way that we would ever go belly up. That is a bad way to think yes but so it jumping into bed with the first girl willing to drop em just so your not the last one at the bar. Anyone could be the next Mesa, RAH, or comair but you cant run around counting on it or you will drive yourself nuts worrying about it. We need to really think if the risk is worth the reward. I personaly don't care if I ever see a seat of "the 9" unless the pay matches the size of the aircraft. Our stand should not be reactive saving people from the fire but a stand on pay much like the pilot group did years ago with "the 9". The solidarity between PSA, Peidmont, and AWAC is the begining and if nurtured and respected could mature into a movment that could raise not only the pay but working conditions in the regionals.

FYI... I was in dayton while we were both furloughed, I was in dayton while you were being reacalled, I was in dayton in recall class while you were based there. All it took was one message to get me out. And just to clearify you got recalled first beers were on you!
