Please don't tell me it takes a heavy to cause a disturbance. An aircraft of lesser weight can upset an aircraft of greater weight just as well. Most upsets are from 757s and 727s yet relatively few are from 767s/777/747s (percentage wise).

You don't have to be flipped completely upside down for it to become an issue. Vref over the numbers in an ERJ with a wake sweeping across from an E-Jet/erj/crj/717/737 could still cause enough disturbance where it's better to go missed. Wake strength might "generally" be related to aircraft weight but that doesn't mean you have to be behind a A380 to notice it. Refuse to believe it all you want but wake is like gun, don't show it respect and it could come back to bite you.
