Hey Bar
Wonder if he can become the association's President without the vote of the Delta pilots, because I doubt he has the grasp on unity that is required to lead our association. A split union of "haves" and "have nots" is not a sure path to victory relying on the "non preferred" pilots' votes. Even if you promise them a flow up, it still is setting two standards in a union where each member should be equal.
I dont think he needs all the DAL pilots. If he brings the RAH guys over to ALPA from the Teamsters he will foster enough good will with the majority RJ pilots that, with some of the DAL guys, he'd have the votes he needs to be National Chairman. Further, by bringing the DCI pilots over to Mainline, he will advance his cause to move up to National. I submit that the flow throughs are just one of numerous step to do this very thing. Flow throughs are not the end objective. Set a min. DCI standard. Consolidate the DCI cariers. Establish flow throughs with the ultimate objective of merging them into the DAL list via the 100 seater.
All this cleverly serves dual purposes. It would appear to benefit all ALPA pilots while simultaneously advancing his own agenda.
As for the rest of you post................yeah buddy! (as they say in N.KY)
